Questions
Emergency dentistry, honestly answered.
When should I go to hospital instead?
If swelling is spreading to your eye or neck, you're having trouble breathing or swallowing, or you have a high fever, go to the Royal Jubilee Hospital emergency department or call 9-1-1.
I knocked a tooth out. What do I do?
Pick it up by the crown, not the root. Rinse it gently and put it back in the socket if you can, or keep it in milk. Call us right away: the first hour matters most.
Do you see emergencies on weekends?
Saturdays from 9 to 2. Outside our hours, our voicemail gives the on-call number.
